The Capital Area Science and Engineering Fair
CASEF is one of six regional fairs in Pennsylvania that aims to provide a venue for bright and motivated young scientists to showcase their solutions to life’s greatest challenges. The role of the teacher, mentor, or guardian is to provide guidance, encouragement, and, as needed, constructive criticism.

Requirements
Participation Requirements
Registration Fees: $50 per eligible grade per building up to 10 projects – additional projects $15 each
Commitment to provide TWO judges from each school for judging day
Provide ONE volunteer from each school to help with the fair activities
Meeting all established deadlines.
EITC Letter of support from public schools – example letter.

Updated Fair Format
CASEF is an in-person event. The students who would need to travel more than 100 miles may request virtual participation. Students will no longer be asked to make videos for the judges’ review. In place of the video a Judges’ Brief, like the ISEF quad board, will be required to share with the judges prior to judging day.
